Christian Marclay was born in 1955 in California and currently resides in New York. Through all his artwork he has explored transforming sounds and music into a physical form of artwork through videos, photography, sculpture, and collages. He studied at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Visuel in Geneva (1975–1977), the Massachusetts College of the Arts  in Boston (1977–1980, Bachelor of Fine Arts), and the Cooper Union in New York (1978). “The Clock”  is a video that he complied with 24 hours of footage from different movies that show a clock. Whenever they show a clip from a movie showing a clock it is the exact time in the real world!
